# Search manual payments by check number

POST https://ssuccessv2.com/app/api/v2/payment/search/onetime/manual/check
Content-Type: application/json

Finds existing manual one-time payments matching a check number, optionally excluding one payment and its recurring relatives.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — The signed-in SchoolSet user token sent by the frontend.

## Request

This endpoint expects an object.

- `check_number` (string, required)
- `exception_payment_id` (integer, optional, nullable)

## Response

### 200

Matching payments are returned as a success envelope containing CrudPaymentResource items

## Errors

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Authentication is required to search payments.

The authenticated user cannot view payments in the active school.
